General Manager
Tom Cotter is a solar power consultant serving the Central Valley region. In addition to holding degrees in Education and Theology, Tom completed a Geographic Information Systems (GIS) certification program at University of California, Riverside. He also completed the Solar PV Design & Installation Training through Real Goods' Solar Living Center. Tom installed his first solar system when he was in the 4th grade.
After a decade of working in a church setting, Tim felt a need to explore alternate forms of spiritual community that would require him to find a different way to pay the bills. While doing construction work, Tim was introduced to the solar industry and found a vocational home. Designing solar electric systems has enabled Tim to bring together his interest in the construction industry, his passion for sustainability, and his love for helping others create a healthier and happier future.
Tony has been involved in the solar industry since July of 2007 when he had a Solar System installed on his home in Clovis. Tony had been self employed in the printing profession since 1988, and when the economy began slowing last year, he began his process of interviewing with solar companies. Only one company shared his common beliefs of honesty, trustworthiness and integrity in all respects—Real Goods Solar.
James has been a leader in the solar industry for 5 years, most recently as the number one consultant in the nation for Solar City. He takes pride in the personal attention he gives to his customers and works hard to develop a mutually beneficial relationship with them. Over the last few years, James developed a great relationship with Erin Clark in the Central Valley office of Real Goods Solar and gladly accepted a position to work here. He believes that this is the very best solar company in the United States.
Jennifer is the operations manager for the Central California office of Real Goods Solar. She has been here for over 3 years working in operations. She is currently pursuing her Bachelor’s degree in business with an emphasis in human resource management at California State University, Fresno.
Denise began with Real Goods Solar in October 2009 as an Operations Specialist. She has a B.A. in interior design from California State University, Fresno, with one of her major interests being in green design. Denise values what the solar industry has to offer and sees it as an opportunity for growth.
Cheryl began with Real Goods Solar in October, 2009 as the Central Valley Regional Marketing Coordinator. She is a management professional with a Master in Business Administration degree offering more than 17 years of demonstrated success in operations, strategic management, event management, business development and marketing.
Doug is a Fresno native with a strong construction background. He serves as the inspector for the Central Valley regional office. Doug has been with the company since 2006 and started out as an installer before taking on his current position. He entered the solar industry because he wanted to combine his interests in renewable energy and his years of experience in construction.
Chad is a native of Fresno and is married with three children. He’s a lead installer and has been with Real Goods Solar for 2 years. Prior to working with Real Goods Chad was a California Highway Patrol Officer for 12 years. Chad attended California State University, Fresno and completed training in the California Highway Patrol Academy. Chad values a sustainable living lifestyle, and when he had a system installed on his own home, it got him interested in the solar industry.
Matt was born and raised in the Central Valley. Prior to working for Real Goods Solar, he worked for a local lighting company. He was also a certified Emergency Medical Technician and was employed by American Ambulance. Matt was involved with the local search and rescue team and held additional certifications in scuba, swift water rescue, and technical rope rescue. Matt’s love for the environment and his electrical interests eventually brought him to the solar industry.
