Due to the remote nature of these locations, solar PV systems were the ideal choice to meet the demands of these sites.
Real Goods Solar (NASDAQ: RSOL) announced today it has signed a contract to design and install solar electric systems totaling 3.65 megawatts for the Fremont Union High School District in Sunnyvale, Cupertino and west San Jose, California. The new solar systems will be constructed as carports at all five high schools in the District and are expected to save District taxpayers over $12 million in the total cost of electricity over the next 25 years.
Jarvis Winery just joined the solar revolution with a new solar electric system that will generate approximately 155,000 kilowatt-hours of electricity annually. Newly acquired Marin Solar, now fully integrated into Real Goods Solar, was selected to perform all facets of the project, including design, engineering and installation.
Real Goods Solar (NASDAQ: RSOL) recently completed the design and installation of a 96 kilowatt solar electric system for the Contra Costa Mosquito & Vector Control District in Concord, CA. The new solar system is expected to produce approximately 127,167 kilowatt hours each year, providing enough solar energy to supply 100% of the facility’s energy needs.
